Lopsang Sherpa was born in Kharikhola, a village located on the classical route to Mount Everest. He holds the UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide carnet, the highest international qualification for leading people in the mountains. With over 18 years of guiding experience, Lopsang has successfully summited Mount Everest seven times, Manaslu twice, and Mount Lhotse once. In addition to his ascents of 8000-meter peaks, he has also guided numerous expeditions on 6000-meter peaks across the Himalayas.
