Vinayak Jaya Malla is an IFMGA/UIAGM-certified mountain guide and instructor from Nepal with extensive professional experience in high-altitude guiding, technical climbing, and mountain safety.
He has successfully led numerous expeditions on major Himalayan peaks, including Everest, Lhotse, Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, and Ama Dablam, and has climbed in the Karakoram, including an expedition to K2. Vinayak has also played critical roles in several high-profile rescue and recovery operations, notably the Tara Air crash response in Mustang, as well as search missions on Kangtega and Nuptse.
As an instructor, he has trained aspiring climbers and guides for leading mountaineering organizations in Nepal and India, delivering courses in rock climbing, ice climbing, high-altitude rescue, and mountain leadership.
